ONTARIO REGIONAL CHIEF RESPONDS TO TRAGIC PLANE CRASH AT NORTH SPIRIT LAKE FIRST NATION

Toronto, ON – I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life resulting from a plane crash at North Spirit Lake First Nation yesterday. I want to extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims of this tragedy, as well as to Chief and Council, and the people of North Spirit Lake First Nation. Many First Nations communities are small and close knit and when there is a tragedy such as this; all feel the effects and experience a shared sense of loss.

To the families that lost loved ones in this tragedy and to the people of North Spirit Lake, please know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of many today and will continue to be in the difficult days ahead.

Angus Toulouse
Ontario Regional Chief
