THUNDER BAY: Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) Deputy Grand Chief Goyce Kakegamic will be joined by First Nation leadership, Elders, students and youth for a peaceful rally against the proposed First Nations Education Act at Fort William First Nation tomorrow.

DATE: Wednesday December 4, 2013
TIME: 10 a.m. – Gather at Fort William First Nation Community Hall
10:15 a.m. – Walk to Indian and Northern Affairs Office
10:30 a.m. – Speakers
LOCATION: Fort William First Nation Community Hall 400 Anemki Drive Thunder Bay, ON

Note: All members of the public are welcome and encouraged to participate. A shuttle bus to Fort William First Nation will depart Centennial Square at 9 a.m. and return at approximately 1 p.m.

Nishnawbe Aski Nation is a political territorial organization representing 49 First Nation communities in James Bay Treaty No. 9 and Ontario portions of Treaty No. 5 – an area covering two thirds of the province of Ontario in Canada.
