ANDPVA

ANDPVA's mission is to help create, support and develop a self-sufficient community of Indigenous artists who preserve our traditional knowledge, advance our respective cultural identities and reflect our evolving cultural expression.

Education/Experience:
Artistically inclined Youth 16-24 must be returning to full-time studies in September 2010
• Knowledge of the Aboriginal Communities in Ontario
• A demonstrated commitment to and passion for Indigenous arts and/or
community/nonprofit organizations
• Technical knowledge of computers and Word Processing programs

Skills and Abilities:
• Willing participate in eight-week leadership training
• Accepts the challenge to learn public speaking, facilitator training, events planning and
the development and presentation of a new artistic works
• Available for some evening/weekend work and workshop participation
• Willing to travel
• Be spokesperson/liaison at special events, workshops that raise public awareness of
Indigenous arts
• Work in accordance with company procedures, as set out in the relevant policies and
procedures manual
• Provides written reports on a monthly basis on training and progress to the Partnership
Facilitator
• Performs routine office and administrative tasks as required

Start Date: July 5, 2010
End Date: August 27, 2010
Duration: 8 weeks (with potential for occasional contract work)
